Play Therapy

Our child therapists are trained and experienced in using different means of play to help children process their thoughts and feelings. There are many means of play therapy that can be used with children. Which particular type of play therapy chosen depends on the age of the child and the child's interests and personality.

This is most often used with younger children or children who tend to be quieter and have more difficulty talking. It is particularly helpful in the beginning of the therapeutic relationship when the child could be shy, or to assist in developing trust with the therapist.
